Nation IN BRIEF : OHIO : Driver Charged in Deaths of 6 Amish

A man who police said had been drinking was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide after his pickup truck struck a buggy carrying an Amish family, killing six people. Four other members of the family were injured when Douglas A. Lyons’ car struck the buggy from behind on a two-lane highway near North Woodbury, Ohio. The horse pulling the buggy was killed. Lyons, 25, of Fredericktown, was being held without bond.
