Whether you want to spend $30 for a sterling silver thimble crafted in 1910 or $1,000 for a gilded brass scale made in the 1800s, the Bustamante Antique Show and Sale at the Pasadena Center this week will offer a wide range of old valuables to choose from.

Elaborate Victorian lamps, American Colonial furniture and early 20th-Century dental tools are among the items being offered by more than 230 antique dealers assembled for the show by producer Edilberto Bustamante.

Bustamante, who stages his antique shows in Pasadena four

times a year, said a neighbor once gave him a Civil War rifle, triggering his lifelong interest in antiques at the age of 13. Bustamante operated an antique store for 25 years before he decided in 1975 to start producing antique shows in cities around the country.

“I enjoy this business because of the people you meet who share this interest in antiques,” said the 67-year-old Bustamante.

His Pasadena show will run today through Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Pasadena Center is at 300 E. Green St. Admission is $4.
