Center Neal Broten said he will play in Germany next season after failing to come to terms with the Minnesota North Stars.
Broten, who had 13 goals and 56 assists last season to help the North Stars to the Stanley Cup final, was seeking $3 million over four years, according to his agent, Ron Simon.
Broten signed a contract Wednesday to play for an undisclosed team in the German League and was to leave for Berlin today, Simon said.
