Honeymoon or Hoax?: Prince Charles and Princess Diana sailed from Naples Wednesday in a borrowed yacht--reportedly to retrace their honeymoon voyage. The royal couple, married 10 years, set sail with sons William, 9, and Henry, 6, on the 160-foot Alexandra. British newspapers pooh-poohed the trip, saying it was really to still rumors of marital tension.

Chimp Change: A tiny Northeast Nebraska zoo that spent a $55,000 donation from entertainer Johnny Carson on a special building just for Reuben the chimp may find itself with an empty nest. The St. Louis Zoological Park, which loaned the 8-year-old chimp, wants Reuben back, saying he needs some chimp mates and that Reuben’s cages may be inadequate. But Reuben’s handler, Dick Haskin, says that mates can be brought to live with Reuben and that the cages are fine. The zoo is near Royal, 140 miles northwest of Omaha.

Duck!: Former President Gerald Ford, whose golf game while he was in the White House made him a butt of jokes when wayward shots struck spectators, has been awarded the Professional Golfers Assn. of America’s Distinguished Service Award. The Jerry Ford Invitational has raised more than $1 million for charity. “I prize this award because of my great admiration for the members of the PGA,” Ford said.

They Got Off Easy: A Pittsburgh couple don’t have to pay $2.5 million in a court case, but they do have to mow their lawn. Judge David W. Murphy gave Ronald and Barbara Lewis of the affluent Sewickley Heights suburb until Sept. 1 to cut their grass. It was 2 feet high in June when Alan and Judith Fellheimer filed a multimillion-dollar suit, claiming the Lewises were trying to hinder sale of the Fellheimer home so they could get a good deal on the property. The Lewises argued that residents of the semi-rural area commonly “harvest” their grass only once or twice a year.
