A Mambo Queen: Linda Ronstadt has recorded two songs in Spanish for the film “The Mambo Kings,” a story about two Cubans who find fame in the United States during the 1950s. Ronstadt’s new songs are “Perfidia” and “Quiereme Mucho.” Actor Armand Assante stars in the movie, which will include performances by singers Tito Puente and Celia Cruz. The film, due for Christmas release, was adapted from Oscar Hijuelos’ Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love.”
