NATION IN BRIEF : GEORGIA : Justice Urges More Free Legal Service

Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor said lawyers should donate more of their time to the millions of Americans who cannot afford to pay for legal help. Speaking at the American Bar Assn. convention in Atlanta, O’Connor said: “There’s probably never been a wider gulf between the need for legal services and the provision of those services. There is a great deal to be concerned about, or even ashamed of.”
