Bob Woolf, agent for unsigned No. 1 pick Todd Lyght, Monday said he and Ram vice president Jay Zygmunt are scheduled to meet for their first face-to-face talks this Thursday in L.A. “I’m coming into town Thursday, and I told Jay I’ll stay as long as it takes,” said the Boston-based Woolf.

Woolf recently concluded a five-year, $6.55-million deal for linebacker Mike Croel with the Denver Broncos. Croel, who received a $2.6-million signing bonus, was taken one pick higher than Lyght.

Tailback Marcus Dupree, bothered by a sore left foot, dressed but did not play. . . . Tackle Gerald Perry did not dress with an injured right knee. . . . Disgruntled defensive tackle Doug Reed played a handful of plays at left defensive tackle in the first and second halves. . . . Center Tom Newberry, who only reported to camp last Thursday, played the second and third quarters after Doug Smith started the game. Robinson had worried that Newberry would have snapping troubles, but there appeared to be no problems when he was in the game. . . . Mike Pagel got the quarterbacking call for the third and a little of the fourth quarters, with last year’s backup Chuck Long finishing the game off.
