Meeting to Review Center Plans
The La Mirada City Council will conduct a public meeting to review plans for the proposed community center/gymnasium. The meeting, open to all interested residents, will be held at La Mirada City Hall, 13700 La Mirada Blvd., beginning at 7 p.m. today.
Public comment and input will be taken regarding the design of the future recreational facility to be located next to the Behringer Park Athletic Facility on Alicante Road.
Conceptual plans call for approximately 20,000 square feet consisting of two full-size basketball/multipurpose courts, a 1,500-square-foot activities room, restrooms, storage space and office space.
The facility will be designed for multipurpose community usage including basketball, volleyball, badminton, wrestling, gymnastics and a variety of other recreational activities.
