Former Students to Honor Horszowski
Peter Serkin, Eugene Istomin, Richard Goode, Seymour Lipkin and Gary Graffman, among others, will honor their former teacher, 99-year-old pianist Mieczyslaw Horszowski, with a concert Sept. 22 at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
The concert, by invitation only, will honor Horszowski’s 50 years of teaching at the renowned music school.
Horszowski, despite his age and hearing loss, maintains a vigorous touring and recording schedule in addition to his teaching.
