HE LIVES: We love Mark & Brian’s Elvis impressions as much as anybody, but there’s nothing like the Real Thing: The King. That’s right--Elvis is back. Not at the 7-Eleven, but at your local record store, where you can grab “Collector’s Gold,” RCA’s ambitious three-CD collection that features one CD devoted to unreleased Hollywood film material, one CD with alternate takes from his ‘60s Nashville sessions and a third CD with live songs from his 1969 International Hotel shows in Las Vegas. Due out this week, the compilation features such highlights as “You’re the Boss,” a never-released Elvis duet with Ann-Margret, and “Black Star,” the original title song from Elvis’ 1960 Don Siegel movie “Flaming Star.” . . . And Robbie Robertson returns Oct. 1 with his long-awaited new album, “Storyville.” Recorded over the past year in New Orleans, it features performances by such Crescent City luminaries as the Meters, the Zion Harmonizers, Aaron and Ivan Neville, Chief Monk Boudreaux of the Golden Eagles and Chief Bo Dollis from the Wild Magnolias. New songs include “Night Parade,” “Go Back To Your Woods” (co-written with Bruce Hornsby), “Soap Box Preacher” and “What About Now,” which Robertson wrote with Ivan Neville.
