Soviets Recapture Escaped ‘Cannibal’

MOSCOW — A man who escaped from a psychiatric hospital in 1989, where he had been placed after killing and eating seven women, has been captured in the Central Asian republic of Uzbekistan, a newspaper reported Saturday.
Nikolai Dzhumagaliev was sent to the Tashkent psychiatric hospital in 1980 after being found guilty of murder and cannibalism, the weekly newspaper Kuranty reported, quoting the independent news agency Interfax.
