A Show of Her Own: Actress Eileen Atkins, who scored a hit Off Broadway as Virginia Woolf in “A Room of One’s Own,” will open the show at the Westwood Playhouse on Oct. 16, according to producer Arthur Cantor. The one-woman show is adapted and directed by Patrick Garland, artistic director of England’s Chichester Festival. This will mark Atkins’ first appearance on a Los Angeles stage since she performed at the Mark Taper Forum in John Webster’s “The Duchess of Malfi” in 1975.
