Presidency Not an Obsession, Jackson Says

WASHINGTON — The Rev. Jesse Jackson said Sunday he could win the Democratic presidential nomination if he runs, but seeking the White House is “not an obsession” with him.
Jackson appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“There are reasons to run, but it is weighty,” Jackson said. He said he was considering the impact on his family, the risk of assassination attempts and “the most effective way to continue to give public service.”
