Camera Platforms Posts $436,952 Loss in Quarter
Camera Platforms International, a Valencia maker of lighting equipment and other production items for the movie and television industries, said it lost $436,952 in the quarter that ended June 30.
The loss, which contrasted with net income of $29,136 a year earlier, came on a sharp drop in revenue, to $572,377 from $2.05 million.
Camera Platforms blamed the declines on “unusually high” sales of certain equipment a year earlier, and on reduced movie and TV production schedules because of the Persian Gulf War and the economic recession.
For the first half of this year, the company lost $917,161 contrasted with a loss of $583,999 a year earlier, and its six-month revenue dropped to $1.25 million from $2.58 million.
