Care Enterprises Inc.: The Tustin-based operator of long-term health-care centers reported second-quarter earnings of $492,000, contrasted with a loss of $22,000 for the corresponding 1990 period. Revenue declined 19% to $46.6 million from $57.3 million. The company said 1990 and 1991 figures cannot be compared because Care’s capital structure was changed after it emerged from bankruptcy on Dec. 31, 1990. Earnings for the six-month period were $326,000, contrasted with a loss of $708,000 for the year-earlier period. Revenue dropped 22% to $91.5 million from $117.7 million.
