One freeway bridge in Glendale and six in Eagle Rock have been added to the state freeway seismic safety program.

The California Transportation Commission last week in Sacramento approved the yearlong, $2.64-million construction work, which the California Department of Transportation will begin in December.

Two of the bridges are on the Glendale Freeway. One is the Harvey Drive underpass in Glendale and the other is the Trent Way pedestrian overpass in Eagle Rock.

Five of the bridges are along the Ventura Freeway in Eagle Rock: the South connector overpass, the Broadway underpass, the Ventura Freeway and Glendale Freeway separation, the Colorado Boulevard ramp separation and the Figueroa Street underpass.
