Focus on Stage, Not Behind the Curtain
It was quite upsetting to read Jan Herman’s commentary on the Grove Shakespeare Festival and equally disturbing his character assassination of managing director Barbara Hammerman. It is unfortunate that Mr. Herman chooses to ignore the facts and distorts the truth in writing about the Grove and Hammerman, thus jeopardizing his journalistic integrity. With that mentality, he should be writing for the supermarket tabloids instead of the respected Los Angeles Times.
