Marine Fatally Stabbed During Traffic Dispute
A U.S. Marine was fatally stabbed on a Van Nuys street after becoming involved in a traffic dispute that escalated into a knife fight, Los Angeles police said Monday.
Laurence E. Hernandez Jr., 22, was pronounced dead at Valley Presbyterian Hospital shortly after the incident Friday night near Victory Boulevard and Kester Avenue, Lt. George Rock said. Hernandez was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Rock said.
Police arrested Fernando Manuel Dominguez, 19, of Studio City on suspicion of murder. Dominguez was scheduled for arraignment today in Van Nuys Municipal Court.
