Actor Faces Extradition on Drug Charges
A Glendale actor indicted on charges that he conspired to smuggle cocaine and sold the drug appeared Monday before a federal magistrate for the beginning of extradition proceedings to Nebraska.
FBI agents arrested Craig M. McIntosh, 32, at his home Saturday, FBI spokesman John Hoos said.
McIntosh was indicted Aug. 22 by a federal grand jury in Omaha, Neb. The two-count indictment alleges that McIntosh conspired with others to sell at least 500 grams of cocaine, Nebraska District U.S. Atty. Ron Lahners said.
U.S. Magistrate Volney V. Brown Jr. in Los Angeles scheduled a bail hearing for McIntosh today. Extradition proceedings will follow, officials said. McIntosh faces five to 40 years in prison and up to $2 million in fines if convicted of conspiracy, and up to 20 years in prison and $1 million in fines if convicted of selling cocaine. Lahners said McIntosh had a small role in the current hit movie “Hot Shots!”
