Around the Dial: New York-based Sally Jessy Raphael will be in Los Angeles Sept. 9 to tape two segments of her syndicated talk show. New Emmy winner Burt Reynolds and the cast of “Evening Shade” are booked for one of the hours; the guests for the other are pending. . . . Carol Thatcher, daughter of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, will be the European correspondent for Geraldo Rivera’s new investigative news series, “Now It Can Be Told,” which premieres Sept. 9. The syndicated show will be seen here on KTLA Channel 5. . . . KCAL-TV Channel 9 will air six back-to-back episodes of “WKRP in Cincinnati” Monday from 5-8 p.m., accompanied by interviews with cast members Gordon Jump, Richard Sanders and Frank Bonner. It’s a prelude to the premiere of the new “WKRP” series that starts Sept. 14 on the station. . . . Palm Springs Mayor Sonny Bono is guest starring on a “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose” segment, cast as the corrupt president of a record company who victimizes young talent by signing them to unethical contracts.
