I am outraged by the controversy surrounding Walker’s pregnancy. As a child, I was burdened with a weight problem and a very large chest. Of course, I was taunted and teased in school, as most children are. Fortunately, I was taught at a very early age to know that I was going to be uniquely different from the next person and that I should be comfortable with my physical appearance no matter the outcome: What matters is what I have to offer from my heart and soul.

I suggest we concentrate our efforts to educate our children to look deeper than physical beauty--and to accept and build on the character we are born with.
