Free-agent left winger Esa Tikkanen said that unless the Edmonton Oilers substantially increase their offer of $606,000 per season he will play in Switzerland this season. He was the Oilers’ top scorer last season.
“The Oilers are cheap,” Tikkanen said before Finland played Canada in the Canada Cup. “Cheap, cheap, cheap.”
