Flaky Jake’s? Neil Simon is going to try again with “Jake’s Women.” The play was to have hit Broadway almost two years ago but its tryout run at San Diego’s Old Globe, starring Peter Coyote and Stockard Channing, fared so poorly it was shut down. Simon has reworked it and “Jake’s Women” will finally open on Broadway in March with Alan Alda starring. Simon said the biggest change is that the play is now focused better on Jake, a writer who has imaginary conversations with the various women in his life.
