NEW ARTS ORDER: The Garden Grove City Council’s anti-arts posture appears to have waned with approval of a new plan for ongoing subsidies to local arts groups (F1). . . . “I think it’s about time,” said Yaakov Dvir-Djerassi, Orange County Symphony of Garden Grove manager. “I got a very clear statement from the council that they want to help the arts so we don’t have to keep coming to them like beggars. . . . They are finally recognizing those of us in the arts--like the Baltic states.”
