Prodigy Expands Offerings: Prodigy, the home computer information and shopping service owned by IBM and Sears, said it was expanding features to mark the first anniversary of its national availability. Among the new features are local classified ads and an electronic bill-paying service that does not require users to change banks. Prodigy also said it soon will add other services, including a feature called Background on the News that will highlight news events and link them to encyclopedia articles. Prodigy also expanded the number of hours it is available each day.
