Football Fans Still in Shock Over Lost Weekend
USC football teams used to beat Notre Dame, win most of their bowl games and destroy patsies such as Memphis State. USC now loses games in the second half. Well-coached teams win games in the second half. The Memphis State game is not an isolated case. Last year’s loss to Michigan State in the John Hancock Bowl is another example.
As an alumnus, it is disturbing to witness a rich football heritage sink deeper into the sunset with only memories remaining.
