Off-Limits Park
This letter is in regard to the proposed “park” to be landscaped at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue (Metro, Aug. 26). It will be “seen” through a fence, but not used--and will cost $50,000! Then after a year, it will be torn up to build a Metro Rail station on that site! What a terrible waste of money!
Better to leave it to weeds and if we have that money to spend, use it to feed the homeless, help the financially strapped health clinics or fund after-school playground activities to keep children off the streets and under supervision.
This is another example of the very foolish ways our politicians spend taxpayers’ money. I believe someone in charge should rethink this and say no!
