ZOO TIME: If you can believe it, Orange County’s freeways are getting even worse. Three Orange County interchanges made the state Department of Transportation’s busiest Top Ten, released Monday. The county’s busiest (fifth statewide) remains the Santa Ana/Garden Grove/Orange freeways interchange--492,500 vehicles a day. . . . The Orange/Riverside freeways was eighth, and the newcomer to the list, the Costa Mesa/San Diego freeways (10th). “Orange County is a garden spot where people want to live but there’s a price to pay,” says DOT’s Steve Saville. The rest of the Top Ten? All in L.A. County.
