California IN BRIEF : COSTA MESA : Hospital May Soon Release Schuller
Doctors for televangelist Robert H. Schuller expressed hope that he soon can be released from an Amsterdam hospital where he underwent brain surgery, a Schuller aide said. Dr. J. Wolbers, senior neurosurgeon at the Free University Hospital in Amsterdam, told relatives that a decision on Schuller’s release will be made after the doctor has studied the results of a CAT scan scheduled for today, said the aide, Michael C. Nason in the Netherlands. Family members remained hopeful that they can bring the founder of Garden Grove’s Crystal Cathedral home before Monday, in time for his 65th birthday. One sign of an early release is that Nason is scheduled to leave Amsterdam and return to Orange County today.
