California IN BRIEF : OROVILLE : Couple Sentenced in Stolen Dress Case

Neighborhood Watch was watching, but who was watching Neighborhood Watch? The question arose when Nancy Miller went to an organizing session for Neighborhood Watch and found the hostess wearing her stolen dress. The hostess, Denise Lagrimas, 34, and her husband Jerry, 36, were arrested and this week sentenced to prison terms in Butte County Superior Court. The sentences, two years for Denise Lagrimas and three years for her husband, resulted from charges involving possession of narcotics that police discovered during a search for stolen property.
