VENTURA : State OKs $629,000 to Repair Freeway
State transportation officials approved the funds Thursday to rehabilitate a 4.4-mile section of the Ventura Freeway north of the city of Ventura, Caltrans announced.
Work on the six-month project is expected to begin next May.
Meeting in Newport Beach, the California Transportation Commission approved $629,000 to repair portions of concrete pavement and shoulders in both directions of the highway. The project will extend north from Figueroa Street in Ventura.
