Herzog Won’t Sign Checks for Angels

Now that Whitey Herzog has been added, the cast seems to be in place for a long, successful run for the Angels.

But is it really? Jackie Autry’s statement, “The payroll must be reduced if the club is to remain financially viable,” could be the kiss of death.

Herzog may be able to play golf and cast for bass at his new home in St. Louis sooner than he thinks.
