DANA POINT : Promotion Includes Tours of City Hall
Mayor Mike Eggers and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce kicked off a yearlong city promotion Monday aimed at luring city residents to City Hall and downtown businesses.
Called “Visit City Hall” and “Shop Dana Point,” the promotion hopes to acquaint residents with city staff and various departments by offering guided tours of City Hall. All residents who take part will be given a chance to register to vote and will get a free packet of information about the city.
Residents will also get a “Dana Point Passport” entitling them to discounts at various shops throughout the city.
The new program represents an example of ways the city and local businesses can work together, Eggers said.
“The financial well-being of our city depends, on a large part, on a strong business community,” Eggers said. “You can’t have a healthy city if your business community is weak, and hopefully this new program will encourage residents to discover not only City Hall, but our local businesses as well.”
More information on the promotion is available by calling City Hall at (714) 248-9890.
