Racism in America
Lately, there has been a barrage of publications, The Times included, running surveys on whites’ attitudes and perceptions toward minorities in general and blacks in particular. How about reversing the surveys and asking minorities their perceptions of whites?
Minorities are sick to the core of constantly reading surveys of whites always complaining about welfare, drugs, crime, unwed mothers, etc. I am certain minorities could provide a wake-up call to whites with their perceptions of all whites as mass murderers, child abusers, incestuous families, white-collar criminals, money-hungry savings and loan thieves, government contract over-bidders, etc.
This type of reverse survey would provide food for thought and point out how such ridiculous perceptions on both sides are dangerously dividing this country.
