HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : 2-Point Run in Last Minute Gives Agoura 29-28 Victory

Matt Morrow came off the bench and threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Matt Epstein with 38 seconds left and Brett Dhanes added the conversion run to lift visiting Agoura High to a 29-28 nonleague victory over California on Saturday night.

Epstein’s reception capped an 11-play, 94-yard drive that began with 3 minutes 22 seconds left. Agoura (1-1), which trailed by 14 points on two occasions, gained possession when lineman Tim Olson blocked David Trujillo’s 32-yard field-goal attempt.

Morrow, a senior who entered the game in the fourth quarter, finished five of six for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Morrow hit Pat Fitzgerald (four receptions for 109 yards) for a 43-yard score that pulled Agoura to within 28-21 with eight minutes left.
