Dewhurst Tribute: Colleen Dewhurst was remembered as a sensitive, intelligent and dedicated actress at a memorial service Monday in New York. Playwright Edward Albee, actor Jason Robards and director Jose Quintero were among those paying tribute, and Candice Bergen, unable to attend because of her “Murphy Brown” shooting schedule, sent respects in a statement read by Zoe Caldwell. The memorial ended with a thank you from Alexander Scott, one of Dewhurst’s two sons by ex-husband George C. Scott. Dewhurst died of cancer Aug. 22 at age 67.
