Striped Bass Appear to Be Getting Active
After a weeks-long lull, striped bass have begun to stir in the Southland’s two primary striper fisheries--Silverwood and Pyramid lakes, in San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties.
The biggest of the week was a 29-pounder pulled from Silverwood Sunday by Alan Cole of Lancaster. Cole’s other catches included 23- and 20-pound stripers.
Trophy fish taken from Pyramid included the 20- and 15-pound stripers caught by Tim Wilson of North Hollywood and the 19 1/2-pounder hooked by Ed Kurihara of Monterey Park.
