Robert Gates’ Bid for CIA Post
Should Robert Gates be confirmed as CIA director? Condoleezza Rice (Column Right, Sept. 16) says “yes,” George Black “no,” (Column Left). If one follows the arguments of each objectively, one can’t help but agree with Black.
Gates, begotten out of William Casey, former CIA director, is a member of that unrestrained group of cowboys who advocate covert action and treat congressional action and the American public with contempt. Gates, who lusts for the job of director, has a psychopathic fear of Russia. DON RADEMACHER
