Western Digital Sale Delayed: Western Digital Corp. said Friday that the closing of the sale of its computer networking business to New York-based Standard Microsystems Corp. will be delayed two weeks. The $33-million purchase, announced in March, is expected to be completed on Oct. 10, the company said. The Irvine computer products manufacturer said the delay was due to normal closing conditions, not anything extraordinary.
