UCLA Class to Study How to Do Bonsai

“Bonsai: Ancient Buddhist Horticultural Art”--the Japanese art of creating the illusion of natural trees on a miniature scale--is the subject of an eight-session UCLA Extension workshop. The class will meet Monday evenings, Oct. 7 through Nov. 25, from 6:30 to 9:30, at the Japanese Language Institute of Sawtelle, 2110 Corinth Ave., West Los Angeles.
