Giant Victory Heads Futurity Field
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Hambletonian champion Giant Victory heads a field of 13 horses in the 99th Kentucky Futurity, the final leg of trotting’s Triple Crown, at the Red Mile on Friday.
Giant Victory is the leading money-winner among trotters in North America this season with $918,126. He was made the 9-5 favorite Tuesday.
The son of Super Bowl has eight victories, five seconds and two thirds in 17 starts.
Giant Victory, driven by Ron Pierce, drew the No. 1 position for the $178,140 race.
The rest of the field in post position order: Whiteland Janice, Somatic, Fiddler Hanover, Crysta’s Best, Can’t Be Jimmie, Gift Box, Wall Street Banker, Uconn Don, Super Pleasure, Aerostar One, Speedy Frazer and Harlan Lobell.
