1 Journalist Dies, 2 Hurt in Battle
BELGRADE, Yugoslavia — A Canadian photographer was killed and two Japanese television crew members wounded Sunday in fighting in Karlovac, 31 miles south of Zagreb, Croatian Radio said.
Peter Brysky, a free-lance photographer from Toronto, was the seventh journalist killed since fighting began in Croatia.
In addition, two Soviet television journalists have been missing for more than a month.
A Japanese Embassy spokesman in Belgrade said federal army troops fired on Miya Satoshi and Mishio Ohara while they were filming around a barracks in Karlovac for the Tokyo Broadcasting System.
Satoshi was hit by four bullets in the back and underwent surgery at a Karlovac hospital, the spokesman said. Ohara was shot in the legs and arms, the spokesman said.
