AT&T;, Mitsubishi in Chip Venture: AT&T; Microelectronics and a division of Japan’s Mitsubishi Electric Industrial Corp. said they will work together on integrated circuit development for wireless products such as cellular telephones. The companies said they will cooperate in developing gallium arsenide integrated circuits during the next five years. Gallium arsenide is a more advanced material used to make computer chips than the silicon wafers that now dominate the industry.
