Back on Top: Country singer Garth Brooks recaptures the No. 1 spot on Billboard magazine’s weekly album sales chart, which will be published Saturday. Brooks’ “Ropin’ the Wind” album, which had been No. 1 the week before Guns N’ Roses’ “Use Your Illusion II” replaced it on Oct. 2, sold about 250,000 copies in U.S. retail outlets last week. Motley Crue’s “Decade of Decadence” will enter the charts at No. 2, after selling about 190,000 copies. The rest of the Top 5: “Use Your Illusion II,” about 181,000 copies; Public Enemy’s “Apocalypse ‘91: The Enemy Strikes Back,” about 180,000 copies, and Prince’s “Diamond and Pearls,” 172,000 copies.
