Dust off those cowboy boots and 10-gallon hats and come on out to the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce’s 14th annual Western Days festival.
For four days, Bonita Avenue will be transformed into the Old West with whooping and hollering, square dancing and even some gambling.
Bring all your gold, ‘cuz there’ll be over 200 booths with arts and crafts and chuck wagons filled with pancakes, barbecued beef and chili.
The celebration begins at 4 p.m. today with a carnival featuring amusements and rides for cowboys and cowgirls of all ages.
For those who can’t dance a lick, there’ll be Texas two-stepping and other dance lessons before the big dance at 7 p.m. Friday where, for $8, y’all can stampede on each other’s feet.
After resting your feet a bit, git on your horses, or whatever you use to move around, and come on out to the parade at 10 a.m. Saturday. It’ll start on Gladstone Street and end on Bonita Avenue. Los Angeles County Sheriff Sherman Block will be the grand marshal.
Later Saturday, there’ll be a Miss San Dimas pageant. And at 7 p.m., y’all can try your luck at Casino Night after plunkin’ down an $8 entry fee.
