Motorist Sought in Fatal Cycle Crash
PLACENTIA — Police are looking for the driver of a car that may have been involved in a motorcycle crash that killed a 21-year-old man last week.
Ruben Serrano of Anaheim died Friday from injuries suffered when his motorcycle struck a center divider at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Linda Vista Street at 3:55 p.m., Placentia Police Sgt. Jay Fricke said. Serrano was not wearing a helmet.
A witness told police a white car was driving alongside Serrano’s motorcycle. The car’s three female occupants were trying to get Serrano’s attention, Fricke said.
The witness also told police that the car veered into the motorcycle’s lane momentarily before the crash.
“It is believed that this may be a factor in the accident,” Fricke said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Placentia police at (714) 993-8157.
