PREP NOTES
San Clemente’s Forrest Lindberg, the only returning all-league offensive lineman in the South Coast League, is out indefinitely with a bruised knee. He suffered the injury in a pileup for a fumble two weeks ago in a nonleague game against Santiago.
Lindberg sat out last week’s loss to Tustin and will be held out again Saturday when the Tritons travel to San Diego to meet Crawford.
“It was a freak thing,” San Clemente Coach Dave Elecciri said. “He got caught in a pileup and popped his knee. He’s our best lineman, and we’re hoping he returns for El Toro (Oct. 18).”
Lindberg suffered contusions in his knee in a season-opening loss to North Torrance but returned the following week against Laguna Hills.
