More on Taos
In her letter of Sept. 29, Paula A. Getz, a native of Santa Fe, N.M., lamented that Santa Fe used to be as wonderful as Taos is now until “rich Californians and New Yorkers bought it up,” and advised you to “keep the joy of visiting New Mexico to yourself so that natives can enjoy (it) for years to come.” This letter irked me, particularly since Getz was writing from Irvine. She apparently believes that she should be able to live wherever she wants, but nobody else should have the same privilege.
