Creditors Act Against ‘900’ Phone Firm
Telesphere Communications Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of 900 number services, said its creditors want to drive it into bankruptcy for not paying its phone bill.
It said a group of creditors filed a petition against the company under Chapter 7 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in Chicago.
Telesphere’s clients provide party line, sports, weather and horoscope services, among other things. The company said the creditors filed the petition in a bid to collect money under split-free contracts with Telesphere.
