PRO FOOTBALL: DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Everett’s Actions Surprise Robinson

Coach John Robinson said he was taken a little off guard by quarterback Jim Everett’s wild celebration after throwing his first touchdown pass of the season Sunday in the Rams’ 30-24 victory over the San Diego Chargers at Anaheim Stadium. “I was surprised at his exulting as much as he did,” Robinson said Monday. “He was pretty damn happy. Gave me a left hook to the head, almost knocked me down.”

Injury report: Starting right guard Joe Milinichik is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right shoulder this week and will miss six weeks, Robinson said. Duval Love, last year’s starting right guard, took his place Sunday. Tackle Robert Jenkins, on injured reserve since the third game with a hyper-extended right big toe, probably will be activated in time to play Sunday. Guard Bern Brostek (right ankle) and defensive tackle Mike Piel (dislocated shoulder) may also return.
